How To Login Chorus Fiber ONT Residential Gateway First Time

Log in and set up Chorus FTTH ONT 300, 400, and type 110 ONTs are the same web interface and configuration methods. If you have any of the given Chrous Fiber ONT model numbers that are installed at your fiber internet connection as a residential gateway device then you can follow this article to access settings.

Chorus fiber ONT is used as last miles connectivity to deliver internet and voice service using a fiber cable that is configured with an OLT device and managed itself. chorus fiber modem can log in using a wired or wireless connection from a desktop or laptop. Although the Chorus FTTH modem is managed and configured by ISP using a fiber OLT device you can manage Wireless SSID password settings to keep your broadband connection secured.

You need Chorus ONT default Login credentials for first-time login and setup your ONT device manually which is probably printed on the device’s white sticker. The default login password for Chorus for different models might be different so get your device password printed to your sticker.

Chorus Fiber ONT Login Settings

Default login settings for the Chorus ONU device are available on the device label as well as you can find on a small quick user manual included with the device.

Default Login IP address -192.168.1.254

Chorus default username– admin

Default password-: “JbysnZ2Kmz” (printed to a sticker that randomly changed for each model and device so use  the printed Password only.)

Default WiFi SSID– Chorus_F5B02 (or if different model then SSID might be different so check your modem details)

Chorus ONT default WIFI Password- “WasNY2Z@2W”

If this does not work just find your ONT default password available on the sticker.

Find ONU Default login settings right down it with you and proceed to access the ON web interface from Laptop or Desktop.

Login to Chorus Fiber ONt Residential Gateway Device from a web browser

Login into web user interface from browser required connection either wired or wireless from a Laptop or desktop computer. If your Chorus ONT support Wired and WIFI then you can use a WiFi connection or wired but for non-WLAN supported Chorus ONT device you only can use a Wired connection from the Ethernet port.

  • Unbox your Chorus FTTH ONT if first time setup.
  • Connect DC adapter comes with box and power ON it.
  • For WIFI ONT find the Default WIFI name and password printed to the sticker and connect from a Laptop, tablet, or mobile using WIFI.
  • For Wired connection use a LAN cable from the ONU LAN port to the computer/Laptop LAN port.
  • Open the web browser and access http://192.168.1.254 or direct 1921.68.l.254 without using http and wait while the login page loading
  • Use the Chorus default login username and password you get from the router sticker for your modem model number.
  • After login to settings, you will get full access to all Gpon home gateway configurations where you can setup Internet, Wireless, Security, and other settings.

How to Change WIFI Name and Password?

If your internet working fine and there is no configuration required to activate a new internet connection because it’s already configured but you just want to change the WiFi password and then this step helps you.

You will all the options either on the Left side or the top that depends on the ONU model number.

Go to Network – Wireless

For dual-band ONt you will get

Network- 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wireless settings.

You need to configure both wireless settings one by one.

Network- Wireless (2.4G)

Select one by one.

Go to the second part to change your SSID and WIFI password.

SSID configurations-

SSID Select- SSID1 (if you using multiple SSID select one by one to change)

SSID name- Change the New WIFI name here.

Enable SSID- enable

Broadcast SSID- Enable

Max Users – 32 (default user limit is 32 if you have fewer users in your home you can reduce to prevent unnecessary user access.

 

Change Wireless Security

Encryption mode– WPA /WPA2 Personal

WAP Version– WPA2

WPA Encryption mode– AES

WPA Key- Create a New WiFI password here for your 2.4Ghz wifi band.

Enable WPS- Disable ( if you have installed a WiFi range extender device and you need a WPS option to set up it you can enable it. If it’s disabled then the WiFi repeater device will not connect using the WPS button.

Press the save button to confirm the configuration. If you connected to the default SSID then you must disconnect and need to connect again with the new WIFI and password.

Follow the same steps for Wireless (5.8Ghz).

After wireless another part to secure router access is changing the Chorus default admin login password during first-time configuration. If you still using the default password then you need to change it right now.

Change Chorus ONT Admin Login password

The password option will come under the maintenance option in Chorus Fiber ONT so keep ready with your current password to update your new login password.

Go to the maintenance option from the left side menu.

Maintenance- Password

Original password – default password or current password you use for login

New password– Create a new login password with a combination of alphanumeric and special characters.

Re-enter password- Type the new password again to confirm

Prompt message– customize any message you want to pop up after login into settings.

Save the configuration and keep remember the new admin login password that will be required to configure and change settings for your Chorus ONT modem.

 

Final words

If you trying to set up an old Chorus modem that is already configured but is not sure what is login password then just use the reset button to factory reset the Chorus ONT modem device. After making a reset it will restore to default settings and you can follow the above steps to access the Chorus ONT web interface again and setup it up for your internet connection.
