Connect XC220 FTTH ONU modem using a WIFI or Wired connection from a PC/Laptop or Mobile device.
Open a web browser and access Xc220 ONT login IP 192.168.1.1 or http://tplinkmodem.net to the URL bar.
Use the Login Password and username you have configured during the first-time login.
Go to the Advance tab from the top menu after login into settings.
Advanced- System Tools
System tools- Backup & Restore
Press backup button to download a configuration file and save it to the drive.

Once you saved the configuration backup file to your drive now you can factory reset the ONT device using soft reset from settings. Follow the steps below to reset ONT from the web interface.

Connect ONT using WIFI or Wired LAN connection from a computer/Laptop or Mobile.
Open web browser and access 192.168.1.1 and use the login password you have configured for admin login.
Go to Advanced Tab from the top menu.

System Tools- Backup & Restore
Factory Restore -> Select “restore GPON settings to factory default”
Press yes to access factory reset and wait until the modem restores to default settings.

If you forget the ONT login password and can’t login settings then you can use the hard reset method to restore the configuration to factory mode and setup your ONT modem again.

How to Hard reset TP-Link XC220 GPON ONT if the Password is Forget?

The hard reset method is a failsafe method to gain router settings access again if you lost after forgetting the login password and are locked out. In the Hard reset method, you don’t get the choice to download the configuration back file so if you already saved the configuration during the first time setup then that will be helpful for you to set up the ONU router again. Follow the steps to reset the ONT modem using the reset switch.

Turn ON TP_Link XC220 VOIP ONT to the DC adapter as comes with the device package.
Find a small tinny reset hole beside the Ethernet port.
Use a toothpick or needle to press the reset button using the reset hole.
Press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds and release.
After executing the reset command ONT modem will automatically turn off and turn ON again.
It takes a few minutes to restore the default configuration and after restarting finish, you can access ONT using default settings.
