How to Login Adopt AD2X-2021 FTTH ONU Modem?

Adopt fiber ONT and ONU devices used for last mile connectivity over fiber network using a Fiber OLT device. There are many different model numbers of Adopt ONT available as per the configuration such as AD2X-1000, AD2X-2021, and AD2X-4021 with single-band and dual-band wireless options. There are many other fiber ONT and OLT devices that work with Adopt OLT such as Syrotech, Richer link, Optilink, Netlink, and many others.

Although FTTH ONU is remotely configured from GPON or EPON OLT from the ISP end there is some configuration that you need to change as per your choices such as changing the default wireless name and password, enabling internet schedule, and blocking Wi-Fi and wired user, as well as website and app block. If you looking to log in Adopt a single port ONT with wifi option then you can use a LAN cable from the Ethernet port but if you have ONU with WIFI then can use a wireless or wired connection to access the ONT web interface.

Login Adopt FTTH Fiber Modem using LAN cable or Wireless is a bit simple. You also required a default login IP address along with the default username and password for adopting the fiber ONT device. The default login IP address with login credentials is printed to the modem sticker and available with a quick login guide included with the device box.

Default Username and password for Adopt FTTH ONT

Look into the device label to get the default username and password details printed for Adopt ONT device as well as the default WIFI name and password to connect in default mode.

 

Adopt ONT default Login IP address- 192.168.1.1

Default WIFI SSID 2.4GHZ- FTTH

Default SSID 5GHz– FTTH_5G

Default WIFI Key– 12345678

 

Default Web management login username- admin

Default login password– admin or find the random login password printed on the ONT sticker.

Find your Adopt admin login password printed to the modem sticker to change the default login password during the first time setup.

Login Adopt Fiber ONT Router

You can use a Wireless connection to access an ONT from a mobile or Laptop web browser but if your ONT does not support WIFI then use a Wired connection to connect from Ethernet to PC ethernet.

  • Connect the ONT unit to the power adapter and power it ON.
  • Fiber cables coming from the ISP side will be connected to the PON port.
  • Connect a LAN port from the ONU LAN port to a PC/Laptop for a wired connection.
  • Use WIFI SSID and key to connect using a Wireless network.
  • Open a web browser and access http://192.168.1.1 to the URL bar and wait until Adopt login page loads.
  • Use default username and password as printed to router sticker for first-time login.
  • In dual-band WiFi ONT, you need to change the default login password in the first time log in so change admin login password and proceed to configuration with a new password.
  • Also, provide human verification to confirm you are not a bot during login ONt web interface.

 

After accessing the ONT web interface control panel, you will get all router configuration options where you can change ONT Internet settings, VLAN configuration as per profile configured in OLT device, Wireless Settings, and Enable content filtering and parental control.

How to Change Adopt ONT Ad2X-2021 WIFI SSID and Password

The default WIFI name and security key are printed on to sticker and anyone can miss use it to connect to your internet so it is important to change your adopt ONT WIFI name to protect your Wi-Fi network.

Go to Network- 5G for 5Ghz and 2G for 2.4Ghz wifi setting.

2.4G- Basic WLAN- change WIFI name, Security key channel, and another basic setting for wifi.

SSID – FTTH (default WIFI name for Adopt ONT, change this name with a new WIFI name as per your choice)

Channel Width– 20MHZ (in dual-band keep 2.4Ghz channel width 20MHz)

Radio Power – 100%

 

Apply Changes to change WIFI SSID and follow the next steps to change the Wireless Security Key.

Change WLAN Security Key Now to protect the wireless network.

Go to Network- 2G

WLAN Security

SSID Type-  ROOT SSID (select the SSID name you created)

Encryption- WPA2-Mixed

Authentication Mode- Personal (Pre-shared key)

WPA cipher suite- TKIP

WPA2 cipher suite- AES

Group Key update timer- 86400

Pre-shared key- 12345678 (default key) change the new WIFI key as per your choice with a combination of Alphanumeric with special characters.

 

Save settings and confirm wireless security key changes and connect the WIFI name with the new wifi key.

Apart from Wireless settings configuration, you can also add an extra security layer in your WIFI network to enable a Mac address list, enable parental control, and content filtering settings.

If you facing an issue while trying to log in Adopt FTTH ONT the modem or getting the wrong username and password error then you can also use the reset button to factory reset your adopt modem to setup it up from starting.

If your adopt modem is already configured and working then making reset settings will erase all configurations and need to setup it up again so make sure you have internet configuration details or config backup file to restore after the factory default Adopt ONU.
