Tenda TE-G103 FTTH ONT Login

Tenda TE-G103 Gigabit Optical Network Terminal (ONT/ONU) device used for connecting internet at client end from OLT fiber network.  If you are an Internet Service Provider and using a fiber network to distribute internet connection then you must use multiple different ONT devices from different brands. Tenda FTTH ONT device a gigabit non-wifi with 1 Gigabit Ethernet port and PON port to use Wired connection directly to PC. Tenda TE-G103 a Gigabit ONT device compatible with all leading OLT such as VSOL, Huawei, SyroTech, and others. This post will provide you a simple user manual to login and setup Tenda TEG103 Fiber ONU device to connect PPPoE or static internet type.

You need the default to connect the Tenda GPON ONU device using a wired physical connection from an Ethernet port to a computer or laptop port to access the web interface for the first-time login. Before proceeding to login steps, you should know the default login credential for the Tenda ONT device that also printed to the ONT sticker and Quick user manual included with the unit.

Default Login Settings for Tenda GPON ONU

The first thing Is to find the Fiber ONT modem login settings printed to a sticker printed on the bottom side. If sticker damage then finds login settings below.

Tenda GPON ONT Login IP Address– 192.168.1.1.

Login Username– admin

Default Password- admin

Keep ready login settings with you as per your ONT models and follow the next steps to connect the physical connection with the ONT device.

Steps to Login Fiber ONT Device

As TE-G103 does not support wireless features so the only way to connect ONT settings is wired LAN connection from Ethernet port to computer/Laptop LAN port.

  • Connect LAN cable to ONU Ethernet port and plug to computer LAN port.
  • Fiber cable coming from OLT device will connect to PON port.
  • Power on the device with DC adapter comes with the unit.
  • Go to PC/Laptop TCP/IPv4 settings and use static IP address- 192.168.1.25 or any other from the network 192.168.1.0. Do not use 192.168.1.1 as it defaults Login IP for ONT.

Access ONT Web interface to Browser

Now open a Web browser and access Tenda Login IP http://192.168.l.1 and wait to load login page asking for username and password as shown below image.

Login- admin/admin for first-time setup and press the Login button to access settings.

 

 

 

You will be redirected to the status page after successful authentication with the ONT settings page.

After login, you have to configure WAN internet settings to ONT PON port as configured OLT device.

ONT Internet Setup

If you replace the ONT unit and want to configure internet settings in Tenda G103 ONT then follow the steps. You have to get the internet authentication method type from the ISP or ask them to set up internet settings for you.

Go to Internet setup

Authentication

LOID  or MAC Address  (contact your ISP to get the Authentication type as configured in the OLT device to allow connection from the ONU device.

Provide the LOID or Mac authentication settings details and choose VLAN setup if VLAN enables in the OLT device.

 

 

Press the OK button to confirm settings and wait until ONT reboots. Your ONT device LEDs, LOS, LAN, and Power will be a green signal.

Apart from the Non-WIFi ONU device if you have ONT with WiFi then go to Wireless settings and change SSID and password to secure your wifi internet.

If Tenda ONT Login IP address, not working or you may unable to get login due to the wrong username and password while trying to configure FTTH ONT. You should try resetting to the default option to make factory reset settings.

 

Note: Making factory reset will erase all configuration from ONT device and internet will not work until configured again. Only use reset option if you have internet settings details to configure again.

How to Factory Reset Tenda FTTH ONT/ONU

There is a small reset button available in the ONT device to restore settings in case forget your login password or ONT misbehave.  Follow the steps to reset ONT.

  • Locate a small reset button beside the Ethernet port.
  • Press and hold the reset button for 10-15 seconds until all LED turns off and turns on again quickly.
  • ONT device will reboot automatically and it takes 2-3 minutes to finish the restore process.
  • Ping default Login IP address and access again with default login settings printed to ONU sticker.

This is a simple user manual to access Tenda GPON/ EPON FTTH ONT for first-time setup and configuration. Once your ONT is configured and the internet start working you should take configuration backup for future reference so you can restore settings if require a factory reset again and don’t know configuration details.
