192.168.1.9 Login Admin Username and Password Router

 Any router, VDSL Mode, Wireless Modem, Cable Modem, or network device whose default IP address is 192.168.1.9 and can manage using a web interface need login settings for configuration and management. Every router and modem is preconfigured with the default gateway IP address 192.168.9.1 and secured with a default admin username and password.   • Connect a LAN cable from the router LAN port to the Desktop or computer LAN port for wired connections.

  • Open a web browser and access http://192.168.1.9 from the URL bar and wait to load the login page.
  • Use the default admin login username and password printed to the router sticker on the login router page.
  • Once you log in to the router control panel you can et all settings such as wireless, network, system, maintenance, and other configurations.

First-time setup router needs to configure WAN settings as per internet type from Static, PPPoE, or Dynamic IP address detail provided by your internet providers. If you looking to update your wireless SSID name and password then need to follow the below steps. 

Change Wireless SSID and Password

 Router preconfigured in a default mode that shows default SSID network name and password usually printed to router sticker and must be changed during first-time login.  

If your router or modem supports WLAN then follow the steps here to change the default SSID name and security key. 

 Go to Wireless settings from the router settings menu. 

Wireless – Basic Settings 

Wireless SSID- change WIFI name here 

Wireless Channel- Auto 

Bandwidth- Auto 

Wireless Security Key-  WPA/WP2-AES_PSK 

WiFI key– create a stronger wireless password for your wifi networks. 

 If your router supports Dual-band 11ac then also change the WiFi name and password for the 5Ghz band.

Troubleshooting router Login

 IP address not working or taking to a long time to load is a common error that comes due to network miss-configuration or any glitch on the network or configuration changed. The router login problem can be fixed by following a few troubleshooting steps. 

 

  • Make sure the modem or router you trying to log in to is powered on.
  • If using wifi a connection make sure you are connected to the same router wifi SSID,
  • Using LAN connection should be with router Lan port instead of using the wan port.
  • Make sure the default login IP address 192.168.1.9 has already not changed with a default IP address. You can use command prompt or IP scanner tools to find the router login IP address.
  • While using an IP address make sure it’s in the proper format ie. 192.168.1.9 instead of using the wrong IP http//192.168.1.9, 192.168.l.9, 192.168.1.09, 192.168 1.9, 192.168 1 9 or any other IP address that invalid and redirect to an error page.
  • If getting a login page but cannot log in because of the wrong username or password error seems you changed your login password or using the wrong login password. If you forgot your login password just use the reset button to factory reset the router to default mode.
