Login UBNT FTTH ONT UFiber UF-LOCO
The Ufiber UF-Loco Ubiquiti Fiber ONT device to connect internet over fiber to last-mile connectivity. UBNT well-known name in wireless products worldwide so if you are an internet service provider you must using Ubiquiti Wireless PTP device and Access point before fiber networks. There are two ONT available from UBNT brands UF-Loco and UF-Nano and both FTTH ONT are fully compatible with UBNT GPON Fiber OLT device. If you are using UBNT EPON/GPON Fiber OLT to distribute network over fiber cable then Ufiber loco or nano can be used as client end ONT device to deliver internet.
Ubiquiti Ufiber ONT is a classic design with 1 GPON and 1 Gigabit Ethernet port to connect your Dual-band Gigabit WiFi router to turn Fiber network into WiFI. Ufiber Fiber CPE supports UBTN UFiber OLT, UFiber OLT 4 with the router as well as bridge mode. However, router mode work with firmware version 2.0 or higher so your UBNT FTTH ONU must be updated with the latest firmware version to work as router mode.
UBNT Fiber ONT also supports third-party Fiber OLT from the brands Huawei, FiberHome, ZTE with different profiles. Profile1 by default configured for UF-Loco UBNT ONT device only. So if you using third-party GPON OLT just use profile2, profile 4, and others as configured respective brands.
Although this article helps you to login UFiber UF-Loco or Ufiber UF-Nano fiber ONT modem to setup and update settings and configure security features. Even though Ufiber does not support Wireless so you have to connect a physical LAN cable from an Ethernet port to a Laptop or desktop using a LAN port to access the Ubnt ONT web interface.
Default Login Settings for UFiber
Default login credential for Low-Cost GPON Optical Network Unit printed to router sticker as well as box. However find the default login IP address, \username, and password given below if you looking to access UF-loco or UF-Nano fiber ONU router first time.
UBNT UF-Loco Fiber ONT default IP address- 192.168.1.1
Default username – ubnt
Default password– ubnt
Login Ufiber UF-Loco ONU/ONT
Now unbox your UF-loco or uf-nono fiber ONU device and connect with fiber cable to PON port and computer/laptop to LAN port. Follow steps to connect with UF-loco from fiber or computer.
- Power ON UF-loco either with USB port or 24Volt passive PoE.
- Connect fiber cable coming from OLT or internet service provider side to PON port.
- Use a cat6 LAN cable to connect Laptop or Computer LAN port.
- Go to computer LAN settings and make it in DHCP mode or use static IP 192.168.1.10
- Now open the web browser and access http://192.168.1.1 to the URL bar and wait a few moments to load the UBNT ONT login page.
- You will ask to provide a username and password to Login ONT, use “ubnt” as the default username and password for UF-Loco fiber ONT.
- After successful login, you can change LAN settings, Select profile if using a third-party OLT device to make it work with Non-UBNT OLT.
If you are using UBNT OLT then the default profile is always configured for UBNT UF-Loco fiber ONT so no need to change the profile.
If you facing a problem while trying to login Ubiquiti ONT device or you forget the UF-loco login username or password after updating the default login password just follow the steps to factory reset UFiber UF-loco or UF Nano FTTH ONT.
How to factory reset UFiber UF-Loco if password forgotten
Making ONT device to factory reset erases all configuration and you need to set up it again with your OLT device remotely or manually.
The reset button work as restart button as well as factory reset configuration only depends on the timing of execution.
Restart ONT using Reset button– Press Reset button for quick and release. The LED light will be amber and ONT device will restart with current configurations.
Hard Reset ONT using reset button- Press and hold the Reset button for 5-10 seconds.
The ONT three signal LEDs will light amber in this sequence with a 100-ms delay between patterns.
ONT unit will restore into factory settings and you can login with the default IP address and username password.
Login and setup ONT again to work with the internet either Router or bridge mode depends on your internet type.
